10 Thanksgiving Mains With a Middle Eastern Twist
From My Kitchen to Your Thanksgiving Table: Main Dishes I Love

Hi foodie,
Yesterday I shared some of my favorite Middle Eastern–Mediterranean Thanksgiving side dishes, and today we’re moving to the heart of the table… the mains.
Of course, Thanksgiving has its classics — roasted turkey, glazed chicken, dinner rolls, baked salmon, pumpkin soup. And you can absolutely stick to the traditional menu (and if you want those recipes, you’ll find plenty of classic options on my blog too!).
But if you’re looking to bring something different to your holiday table… something vibrant, bold, cozy, and full of Middle Eastern flavor… this is where I come in.
These dishes aren’t the typical Thanksgiving mains you’ll see everywhere — they come straight from my kitchen, inspired by Mediterranean spices, warm herbs, tahini, olive oil, pomegranate, pistachios, and everything I love about this cuisine.
Let’s dive into 10 main dishes that will make your Thanksgiving table unforgettable
1. Chicken Maqluba

2. Chicken Gyros (Make It a Platter!)

3. Pistachio Crusted Salmon

4. Meat Stuffed Figs

5. Chicken Pot Pie

6. Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

7. Greek Spinach Pie Recipe (Spanakopita)

8. One Pan Roasted Chicken and Potatoes
9. Italian Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

10. Greek Moussaka
Before You Go…
This is just a short list of recipes I think you’ll love — a little taste of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors I grew up with. If you want to explore more, feel free to dive into all my Middle Eastern recipes and Mediterranean dishes on the blog.
And of course, if you prefer sticking to the classics, roasted chicken, mac and cheese, baked salmon, hearty casseroles, cozy pastas — you’ll find plenty of traditional Thanksgiving-friendly mains and other main dishes on my website as well.
P.S. Don’t forget: you can always use the search bar on my website to quickly find any recipe you’re craving.
