Holiday Baking Starts Now: Two New & Improved Cookie Recipes for Winter

Hi foodie,

It’s that time of year when my kitchen smells like butter, chocolate, and happiness, also known as cookie season. And this week, instead of sharing something brand new, I decided to go back and glow up two of my most beloved classics.

You know how sometimes you revisit an old recipe and think, “Wait… this is already good, but I can make it even better”? That’s exactly what happened. I retested, tweaked, reshot, and upgraded two of my most popular cookies so they bake up perfectly every time.

If you’re planning your holiday cookie boxes, baking with kids, or just want something sweet with your coffee, these two updated recipes are here to save (and sweeten) the day.

Let’s dive in 👇

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Soft, fudgy, and with those iconic crackly powdered-sugar tops, these cookies taste like a cross between a brownie and a cookie. My updated version includes clearer steps, better tips for achieving perfect cracks, and just the right balance of chocolate and sweetness.

Chocolate Chip Cookies (Improved!)

This recipe is a long-time reader favorite, so I made it even better. The updated version is simpler, more consistent, and gives you that bakery-style result with minimal effort. Soft in the center, chewy on the edges, loaded with melty chocolate… this is the cookie you’ll want to bake on repeat.
